In celebration of African American Heritage Month, the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History will host a free screening of the film, "The Marines of Montford Point: Fighting for Freedom." The nation's first African American Marines were formed in 1942. Numbering 20,000, these Marines were trained at Montford Point, NC. They showed loyalty and service in the face of prejudice and discrimination and this is their story.
