Description

Two months out of the year, jazz music draws people into Riverfront Park in the heart of the River Market District. And for the fifth straight year, the History Pavilion has been home to Jazz in the Park, a free, bi-annual event sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB).

On Wednesday nights in April and September, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., music lovers come together to enjoy live jazz and support Little Rock’s own musicians.

Continuing their partnership with Art Porter Music Education, Inc., which offers scholarships to talented Arkansas music students who wish to further their education while promoting community service and volunteering, this free, family-friendly event in the River Market District is open to the public.

The Lineup:
April 5 - The Funkanites (New to Jazz in the Park)
April 12 - Ramona (New to Jazz in the Park)
April 19 - Tonya Leeks & Co.
April 26 - Sounds So Good

Coolers are not allowed at Jazz in the Park, but beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Art Porter Music Education, Inc.’s scholarship fund.  Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and there is some seating in the natural stone amphitheater at the History Pavilion.

The History Pavilion is located in Riverfront Park west of the First Security Amphitheater; its closest entry point is from Ottenheimer Drive off President Clinton Avenue. In case of rain, the West Pavilion will be the alternate location.
