Using the talents of both professional and community performers, the Children’s Theatre produces seven main stage productions each year. Fine performances are not all the theater has to offer. Classroom workshops prepare students for upcoming performances, and the Summer Theatre Academy teaches theater and drama skills to youths.

The Arkansas Repertory Theatre produces a diverse body of theatrical work ranging from contemporary comedies to cutting edge dramas and from musical theatre to the classics of dramatic literature. The season runs almost 12 months in a comfortable theater where almost any seat is great.

The symphony performs for nine months every year, presenting 12 classical concerts, four Pops Live! programs and a chamber orchestra series. Many concerts feature nationally and internationally renowned guest performers. Regular performances are held at the Robinson Center Music Hall. Chamber concerts are held at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1101 N. Mississippi Ave. and at the Stella Boyle Smith Recital Hall on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences brings world-class entertainment to Arkansans through Artspree, a performing arts series. Artspree performances include appearances by nationally and internationally recognized artists in the areas of theater, dance and music.

Ballet Arkansas, the state's only professional ballet company, performs “The Nutcracker” each year for adoring audiences. Performances are held at Robinson Center Music Hall. The Ballet Arkansas School for the Performing Arts also provides classes for ages 3-adult.

The Community Theatre of Little Rock has been presenting theatrical productions ranging from comedy to drama for more than 50 years. A volunteer staff of actors; directors; producers; and lighting, sound, set and costume designers is responsible for each production. Auditions are open, and volunteers are always needed. Performances are presented at Woolly Fine Arts Building  located at the Arkansas School for the Blind.

Little Rock's original comedy nightclub serves up big laughs along with hot food and cool drinks in live stand up shows every Wednesday through Saturday nights.  Group rates are available.

Murry's Dinner Playhouse has been serving up food, fun and fabulous entertainment since 1967. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet, then take in the best of Broadway. Murry's offers a full season of Broadway's best comedies and musicals.

This community group stages high-quality productions of avant-garde and experimental theater to standard plays. The season runs all year.

Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts is the largest park dedicated to the performing arts in the South. The annual Wildwood Festival in June draws from opera, jazz, cabaret, blues, gospel, big band, dance and literary artists. The $8 million Lucy Lockett Cabe Festival Theatre opened in 1996 to rave reviews by artists and theater experts throughout the country. Each year, Wildwood provides traveling performances for more than 40,000 children in schools throughout Arkansas. Its EPIC program (Every Person Is Creative) is becoming a national model for integrating performing arts into school curricula. Special events, such as the annual Wildwood Wine & Food Celebration in March, are held throughout the year.

The IMAX shows films about many subjects, not just aerospace. The theater has a six story high screen with a six-channel, 16,500 watt sound system. Housed in the Aerospace Education Center. Hours are Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Tickets must be purchased at least 15 minutes before show begins. Call for show times and special group discounts.  Ample bus parking is available.
