Bridge Lighting Request
Thank you for your interest in River Lights in the Rock! Lighting requests may be made by individuals or organizations in recognition of special events. Our bridges can be lit in a static or multi-color fade to make your event truly unforgettable.
River Lights in the Rock offers the unique opportunity to illuminate three of Arkansas’s most iconic bridges spanning the Arkansas River between Little Rock and North Little Rock. This project was made possible through a generous gift from Entergy Arkansas and the Entergy Charitable Foundation in December of 2013.
Fees
Please note that there is a fee for our bridge lighting requests. Below you can find the costs:
Nonprofit Rate | For-profit Rate | |
Junction Bridge | 150.00 | 200.00 |
Main Street Bridge | 150.00 | 200.00 |
The success of this project was made possible by the support of numerous organizations. The cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock, the Clinton Foundation, the Pulaski County Junction Bridge Authority, Philips Lighting Company, and Koontz Electric all invested in the $2.4 million project. Phillips Lighting Company, which has installed lighting on several landmarks throughout the world, provided the LED lighting for the three bridges.
On December 19, 2013, officials joined President Bill Clinton and “flipped the switch” on the three bridges, celebrating the official illumination at First Security Ampitheater in Riverfront Park. We are proud to have partnered with these organizations to bring this project to fruition.
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) is the designated technical operator for River Lights in the Rock. The cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock, along with Pulaski County, are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the bridge lights. 100% of the River Lights in the Rock lighting revenue goes into a joint fund designated to cover all costs related to maintenance, upkeep, and operations.
