Grilling glory is on the line Saturday, September 21 during the annual Ribfest, a rib-cooking competition held at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church (20900 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock). Rib-cooking teams will be hovering over their smokers and grills, sure to not give away their finger-licking good secrets to the perfect, delicious rib.
The smokers and grills fire up at 9:00 AM, but the real competition starts at 4:00 PM when the event opens to the public for them to sample the day’s offerings. The $30 ticket gets attendees ribs from each team along with whatever sides and other offerings each team provides. Attendees will vote on who has the best ribs and sides.
In addition to the rib competition, there will be craft vendors, live music from Houston-based Grifters & Shills, and of course, college football on a big screen (it is a Saturday in the Fall in the South, after all)!
All proceeds from the event benefit the ministries of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church including the Little Free Food Library and Backpack Program. More information about the event can be found at www.stmargaretschurch.org/explore/ribfest.html
