It’s here! America’s favorite past-time returns this April at Dickey-Stephens Park. The Arkansas Travelers take the diamond facing the San Antonio Missions. It’s always a fun time watching a game with your family and friends, enjoying delicious baseball fare, singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” and maybe even catching a fly ball.
The Travs have one of the longest running minor league franchise histories, dating back to 1901. Today, they are the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Their nickname “Travelers” has been around for quite some time, taken from the famous Arkansas Traveler who dwelled in the state’s Ozark Mountain region selling goods and singing songs.
This season, head over to Dickey-Stephens for a home run of a good time.
