Jingle all the way…all the way to Little Rock, that is. This holiday season is sure to heat up the coldest of wintry days.
See Santa's reindeer festive floats and merry marching bands in downtown.
Start the season off right with the annual Big Jingle Jubilee Holiday Parade Saturday, December 1, at 3:00 p.m. You’re in for a real treat as this year’s grand marshals are two of Santa’s very own co-pilots — all the way from the North Pole. That’s right, two of St. Nick’s LIVE reindeer will be in town leading the festivities. Pick a prime spot along Capitol Avenue to catch a glimpse of these majestic creatures as they prance their way to the Arkansas State Capitol building and into your heart. The parade will be filled with marching bands, decorative floats, dancing troops and much more. Following the parade, the Arkansas Secretary of State will host the official capitol lighting and fireworks display at 6:00 p.m. All events are free and open to the public. Don’t forget your chairs, blankets and hot cocoa!
Pay a visit to Santa's reindeer in the River Market.
Need more reindeer in your life? Sure you do! Head downtown to the River Market Sunday, December 2, to see Santa’s LIVE “Wing-Deer” once again at Reindeer on the River. For the first time ever, Little Rock hosts live reindeer, just in time for the holidays. Don’t wait to hear them on the rooftop Christmas Eve. Have yourself a holly jolly good time at the special meet and greet with these adorable sweetie pies. There will be photo opportunities (bring your camera!), a “S-Elfie” stations, holiday arts and crafts and more. The kiddos will have a chance to write their letters to Santa to be delivered to the North Pole by Santa’s reindeer.
Take a tour of Little Rock's festive light displays.
The entire holiday season is aglow in Little Rock via the Trail of Holiday Lights. In addition to the state capitol lights, be sure to enjoy these special lighting sightings. Lights will be up through December. Happy Holidays!
