Fun Facts About Hosting a Meeting in Little Rock
Little Rock is a great place to host your next meeting or event. We’re sure to wow you and your guests with our genuine Southern hospitality and great experiences.
Little Rock, Arkansas is a great place to experience some family fun. (Don’t believe us? Click here!). But Little Rock is also a great place to host your next meeting or event. Here are a few reasons why business is a pleasure in Arkansas's capital city:
1. Great Meeting Venues
How many meetings have you attended that were just hosted in a standard, stale meeting room? Here in Little Rock, we have some unconventional and exciting locations for your next gathering. The ESSE Purse Museum is the only purse museum in the U.S. and one of only two in the entire world. An event at the Little Rock Zoo allows your attendees to get in touch with their wild side.
Located in the heart of downtown, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) is a beautiful reimagined space located in MacArthur Park. From the open-air sculptures to the primary exhibition halls, this museum provides your attendees with an unforgettable ambiance among an esteemed, worldwide art compilation. With exceptional catering and attentive service, AMFA presents boundless possibilities for sophisticated, personalized functions. If your event might go better with a drink in hand, there’s the barrel room at Rock Town Distillery - Arkansas’s first legal distillery since prohibition.
If you need something more traditional, don’t worry, we have you covered there too. Come by Little Rock’s “Front Porch” – The Capital Hotel where they have five different meeting rooms, each with its own kitchen and audio/visual equipment. Little Rock can also host your large conventions too, with spaces like the Robinson Center and the Statehouse Convention Center. We have plenty of room for all of your friends and colleagues.
2. You Can Rent Bridges
No, you didn’t read the headline wrong! You can rent the Junction Bridge or the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge for your next event. The Junction Bridge was originally a part of the Transpacific Railway until it was renovated for pedestrian use in 2008. The Clinton Presidential Park Bridge, (formerly known as the Rock Island Bridge) begins just steps from the entrance to William J. Clinton Presidential Library and offers some of the best views of downtown Little Rock. Both bridges are located in Riverfront Park, a 33-acre complex consisting of a sculpture garden, an amphitheater, La Petite Roche (The actual little rock!), and much more. That’s not all! You can also rent the lights on the Main Street, Junction, and Clinton Presidential Park bridges downtown, and light them in the colors of your choice. It’s a great way to extend your company or organizational brand while your attendees enjoy everything the city has to offer.
3. The Rock Region METRO Streetcar
Perhaps you want to see the sights while still getting work done? Little Rock has you covered there. You can rent a Rock Region METRO Streetcar that will take you through the city’s downtown district. If renting is not within budget, public streetcar ridership is a fun and free - that's right, we said FREE - way to take in the sights of central Arkansas’s “twin cities” and get to downtown events without the hassle of parking.
One Meeting, and You'll be Big on Little Rock!
As you can see, we have plenty of fun and interesting options for you to choose from. So, come see why we say that if you’re big on great meetings and fantastic venues, you’re Big on Little Rock!
