Little Rock's Most Instagrammable Places
Spend a little time in Little Rock and you’ll quickly notice how often the city stops you in your tracks. From skyline views to architectural details and natural backdrops, photo-worthy moments are everywhere. We did a little scrolling through Instagram and rounded up some of Little Rock’s most camera-ready landmarks.
Two Rivers Park
At the meeting point of the Arkansas River and the Little Maumelle River, Two Rivers Park offers wide-open views and a quieter side of the city. Long stretches of trail, open fields, and river overlooks make it easy to capture landscape shots, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s a favorite spot for cyclists, walkers, and anyone looking to frame Little Rock with a little more sky.
Pinnacle Mountain State Park
It’s no surprise the city’s largest park makes the list. On any given afternoon, hikers make their way up one of the mountain’s two summit trails. No matter which route you choose, the view from the top is worth pausing for and snapping a photo from Central Arkansas’s tallest peak.
Junction Bridge
Whether it’s lit up at night or glowing in the afternoon sun, the Junction Bridge is one of Little Rock’s most recognizable landmarks. The bridge sits on the site of the original little rock that gave the city its name and offers a great photo opportunity day or night. The original little rock can still be found nearby at La Petite Roche Plaza.
Riverfront Park
In the heart of downtown, Riverfront Park offers sweeping views of the Arkansas River alongside hundreds of sculptures spread throughout the space. It’s an easy place to linger with a camera any time of year. Time your visit for golden hour, when the setting sun reflects off the river and gives the park its most photogenic glow.
H. U. Lee International Gate and Garden
A traditional Korean gate stands prominently in downtown Little Rock, and its presence tells an important local story. H. U. Lee, founder of ATA Martial Arts, formerly known as the American Taekwondo Association, moved the organization’s headquarters to Little Rock in 1977. The gate and surrounding garden honor his global impact on the sport of taekwondo and continue to host the annual grand master ceremony. Practitioners from around the world visit the site to photograph the gate’s striking red doors.
Downtown Murals
Downtown Little Rock is home to an ever-growing collection of murals, and they rarely go unnoticed. Take a walk through the area and you’re likely to spot cameras out and photos being snapped along the way. From colorful koi fish and abstract designs to larger-than-life installations, there’s a mural to suit just about any mood, with new works appearing throughout the year.
Little Rock Zoo
Home to hundreds of animals, the Little Rock Zoo is one of the most lively spots in the city for photos. From close-up moments with penguins to wide shots featuring lemurs and habitats from around the world, inspiration waits around nearly every corner.
MacArthur Park Barrel Bridge
Tucked just off the main path, the barrel bridge at MacArthur Park has quietly become one of Little Rock’s most photographed spots. The curved structure adds a modern, industrial feel to photos and is easy to access from either side of Interstate 630, from Bragg Street in the Pettaway neighborhood to the south or from MacArthur Park to the north, just past the dog park entrance. A second barrel bridge can also be found downtown between the DoubleTree hotel and the Old State House Museum as it crosses over La Harpe Boulevard.
After capturing your shot at the MacArthur Park Barrel Bridge, take time to explore everything MacArthur Park has to offer.
Once you’ve found your favorite photo spots, keep exploring everything Little Rock has to offer. From places to stay and attractions to explore to a dining scene worth lingering over, the city makes it easy to turn a great shot into a full experience.
