Well, if you were Collins of Texas designer Enid Collins, the simple, practical structure of a handcrafted wooden box or canvas bucket tote were just waiting for bejeweled scenes both familiar and fanciful. While we may see a plain canvas bag or wooden box and find it practical and uninspiring, Enid Collins saw perfect mediums for her artistry to truly come alive. Collins’ designs featured colorful carriages, proud peacocks, lavish ladybugs and more.
