25th Annual Big Boo!seum Bash Continues Little Rock Attractions Go Virtual To Deliver Safe Halloween Fun
The 25thAnnual Big Boo!seum Bash will be held on October 20-31, 2020
Little Rock, Ark. (October 15, 2020) –Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB), the 25thAnnual Big Boo!seum Bash will be held October 20-31, 2020, and will be entirely virtual. This timeframe is longer than the traditional one night, in-person event. Hosted by the Greater Little Rock Museums and Attractions Consortium, this year’s event will include eight partners showcasing fun online activities via social media.
This year, each participating consortium partner will pre-record a short video that will include many of the same activities as storytelling, crafts, games and more. All videos will be uploaded to a Big Boo!seum Facebook page. Kids may watch the videos anytime between October 20-31. They will be instructed to watch and listen for each partner’s “code words” in the videos, and list them on the LRCVB’s Boo!seum website landing page for a chance to win an electronic tablet.
The Big Boo!seum Bash was originally created as a free, family-friendly event that provides people the opportunity to visit many of Little Rock’s museums and cultural attractions for a night of safe trick-or-treating, and family fun and games. In past years, children would get game cards stamped at each location and be entered into prize drawings. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the consortium to develop a completely different way to safely provide an entertaining experience, while keeping the prize drawing.
“The Big Boo!seum Bash is designed to provide the public with free access to our great local museums and cultural attractions. It’s a great family-oriented event that people of all ages enjoy,” said Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO Gretchen Hall. “This year, the consortium has come up with a very creative way to still provide families and friends a fun experience using technology and social media, while following CDC guidelines and keeping everyone safe,” she added.
