JAZZ IN THE PARK RETURNS TO RIVER MARKET
Annual Event Continues to Celebrate Local Musicians and Jazz Scene.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 20, 2025) – The 12th season of “Jazz in the Park” will begin April 2, 2025, at the River Market Pavilions located at 400 President Clinton Ave. In the River Market District.
The free event is held from 6-8 p.m. each Wednesday in April and is a program hosted by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB). Additionally, this is the tenth year for the Bureau to partner with Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME), which provides scholarships for Arkansas music students.
“Jazz in the Park features some of Little Rock’s best local jazz and R&B groups,” according to LRCVB Event Coordinator Elizabeth Alexander. “Our partnership with APME allows us to celebrate the local music scene and encourage young artists to continue to develop their talents.”
This year’s schedule includes performances by:
- April 2 - The Rod P Outfit
- April 9 - Soulfude’s Jazz Night Jam Session Band
- April 16 - Jacksonville High School Jazz Band, Little Rock Parkview High School Jazz Band, Little Rock Southwest High School Jazz Band
- April 23 – Dino D and the D Train
- April 30 – DeeDee Jones
The family-friendly series features a different band each week in the open-air pavilions near the Arkansas River. Beer, wine, and soft drinks are available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the APME scholarship fund. Lawn chairs are welcome, but seating will also be provided. Coolers and outside beverages are not allowed.
