Little Rock Jazz in the Park Returns this September

WHAT: September closes the 6th season of Jazz in the Park. We’re excited to welcome some of our favorite local LR musicians and Jazz in the Park alumni to close out the season this September. Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB), partnering with Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME), Jazz in the Park celebrates local musicians who in Little Rock’s jazz scene.

This season marks the fourth year partnering with APME, which offers scholarships to talented Arkansas music students who wish to further their education while promoting community service and volunteering.

 Free and open to the public, this family-friendly event will feature a different band each Wednesday in April from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the History Pavilion.

                          September 12 – Tawanna Campbell

                          September 19 – Dizzy 7

                          September 26 – The Rodney Block Collective


WHERE:            History Pavilion in Riverfront Park, Little Rock

Just west of the First Security Amphitheater; closest entry point is on Ottenheimer Drive off of President Clinton Avenue

**In case of rain, the West Pavilion will be the alternate location for the event.



The event is completely free, but no coolers are allowed. Beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for sale, along with new Jazz in the Park koozies, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Art Porter Music Education, Inc.’s scholarship fund. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and there is some seating in the natural stone amphitheater at the History Pavilion.
