River Market Entertainment District Marks Sixth Anniversary
An evening of music, local flavors, and electric energy that has defined the River Market Entertainment District for six years.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Aug. 14, 2025) — The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) is thrilled to invite the community to help celebrate a downtown favorite. On Saturday, Aug. 23, the River Market Entertainment District Birthday Bash will include an evening of music, local flavors, and electric energy that has defined the district for six years.
What began as an innovative pilot project in 2019 has grown into a exciting hub for nightlife, dining, live music, and community connection. The River Market Entertainment District offers open-container privileges for guests 21 and older with official district cups and wristbands, making it a destination for both locals and visitors seeking a lively experience.
“This celebration is more than marking another year. It’s a chance to recognize how the River Market Entertainment District has become a cornerstone of downtown Little Rock,” said LRCVB President & CEO Gina Gemberling. “We’re proud of the vibrancy it brings to our city, how it connects residents and visitors through food, music, and shared experiences, and how it’s helped solidify Little Rock as a must-visit destination. The Birthday Bash is a fun way to celebrate the district’s growth and the community that continues to support it.”
The Birthday Bash will feature music, menu specials, and promotions from district businesses. Guests can enjoy free parking at the River Market Parking Deck, 500 E. 2nd St.
“Happy Birthday to the River Market Entertainment District! In the heart of our thriving Downtown, the River Market is where music, food, arts, entertainment and culture come together to enrich our quality of life and offer a fun, welcoming experience,” said Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. “As we invest in upgrades and improvements to places like the Ottenheimer Market Hall, the River Market will continue to be a go-to location for residents and visitors for many more birthdays to come.”
"The River Market Entertainment District is a cornerstone of downtown Little Rock, offering visitors and residents an exciting space to gather, dine, and explore while enjoying the unique energy of our city,” said Downtown Little Rock Partnership Executive Director Kyle Leyenberger. “This district is also home to many of our local businesses, and I look forward to celebrating their success and the continued growth of this dynamic area."
