Built in 1888, The Empress of Little Rock is an award-winning bed and breakfast in the Quapaw Quarter neighborhood of Little Rock just around the block from the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion.
Guests may book their stay in one of three buildings on the property – the Carriage House, Cook’s Cottage and the crown jewel - the Hornibrook Mansion. The National Register of Historic Places lists the Hornibrook Mansion as the best example of ornate Victorian architecture in Arkansas and as the most important existing example regionally of the Gothic Queen Anne style.
The late-nineteenth century Hornibrook Mansion is flamboyant, yet stately, and features a magnificent, divided stairway that leads up to the guest suites. The AAA-Four Diamond rated boutique hotel offers luxury accommodations and modern amenities. Breakfast is freshly prepared by the owners, Antonio Figueroa and Keith Sandridge, and served daily in the formal dining room, or when the weather allows, on the almost 300-hundred-foot veranda overlooking the gardens and surrounding neighborhood.
Located next to the vibrant SoMa (South Main Street) and reemerging Pettaway neighborhoods, the Empress is a quick drive to the River Market, downtown businesses and Arkansas State Capitol. There is also access to all major roadways and the Clinton National Airport.
Patrons will enjoy free wi-fi and streaming services in all of the suites. Complimentary coffee, snacks and bottled water are also offered. Off-street parking is available in the private parking lot. Concierge services are available to make the visit more memorable.
The Empress may be rented for meetings and special events, including a popular high tea. Contact Antonio and Keith to start planning your unforgettable occasion at this one-of-a-kind historic Little Rock landmark.
