Big Holiday Celebration in Little Rock
Join us in Little Rock on Saturday, December 6, 2025, for an unforgettable evening filled with festive cheer! Celebrate the season with our lively downtown parade, capped off by the spectacular Christmas tree lighting at the Arkansas State Capitol, where glowing lights and cheerful music bring the holiday spirit to life. Plus, bring the whole family to meet Santa Claus and capture the moment with a photo from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center!
The parade kicks off at 3 p.m. at Broadway and West Markham streets, traveling east along Markham to the Interstate 30 area.
The evening continues with the Arkansas State Capitol Lighting Ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the official lighting set for approximately 6:15 p.m. Now in its 86th year, this cherished tradition has been brightening the holiday season since the late 1930s.

Volunteer Roles Include
- Parade float and group check-in assistance
- Crowd guidance and information ambassadors
- Signage and setup support
- Volunteer headquarters support
- Float lineup and staging coordination
- Clean-up crew and exit guidance
A volunteer orientation is mandatory. All volunteers will be supervised and supported by LRCVB and The BIG Little Rock Holiday Parade team.
Time Commitment
- 1 mandatory orientation session in November (in-person with a virtual option)
- Parade Day: Saturday, Dec 6 - shifts run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Exact shift times may vary depending on your role)
